The Beast, my Pulsar 220 DTS-FI

The drive was slow, I was not supposed to accelerate though I was exhilarated. I felt the delivery as I throttled slowly. The bike responded with a fantastic thrust....

Suddenly a car comes along my side, the driver instead of looking at the road, is studying my bike. After satisfying his curiosity, he passes on...

The bike coming opposite to me, the pillion rider taps the bike rider and points his finger at me. I relish the attention my bike is getting.

Yes guys, I finally decided after 9 long years with my Yamaha RX-100, to give it up for this new machine, the Pulsar 220 DTS- FI cocktail red beast!

I was thrilled by the slated release of this bike, shown for the first time back in Jan 2006. But contrary to all my expectations the bike took a year plus to come. With a little bit of dirty politics at the showroom I had, a not so, great experience while buying it. But nevertheless, my anger lost focus as I went into this beast of a bike. It purred so sweetly when I electric started it and the gear change was so smooth. So unlike Bajaj!!

I was in love with this bike with its first picture and finally when I got it in my hand, my heart kind of leaped into my mouth. I don't need to explain a lot more on this Bike as there are thousands of blog praising the Bike and so for me this was just a small intro to all you to welcome my newest addition to life!

With its smooth yet masculine curves, engine response, superb lighting and seating arrangements, I felt like a king. Add all the stares given to me by guys and children alike, I felt a further joy in my heart. I made the right decision or rather hope so!!

Most of the questions evolved around performance and mileage even though everyone got hooked on to its looks more than anything else. I am just waiting for the bike to finish its 750 km lap before I can see what my beast will actually do.

Until then, visit my gallery here and see the latest pictures I have uploaded:)
