Thinking About You

I was thinking of old friends today
And how many of them have slipped away.
Moved, got married, or stopped calling so much,
Found new friends, got busy, and just lost touch.

Have Indian Women won freedom yet?

The Salt Satyagraha was a campaign of non-violent protest against the British salt tax in colonial India which began with the Salt March to Dandi on March 12, 1930. Mahatma Gandhi led the Dandi march from his Sabarmati Ashram to Dandi, Gujarat to produce salt without paying the tax, with growing numbers of Indians joining him along the way.

Its been really long since I thought of writing something down. Every time I took the site up to write, I get what people call writer's block.

In Solitude called Life..

Have you ever had to pursue solitude?
Have you ever had to maroon yourself on a island?

Amidst the Darkness

There are times when there is darkness,
Not a word can dispel it..

Why does it come, we ask ourselves..
What deep thought of loss makes it stand out..
Where the Yin is there the Yang is...
Yet why does the mind not see ...
There may be light, but like the storm clouds,
Nothing can penetrate thee till the storm abates..

Dust to Dust

As the Sands of time trickled down,
The dust of the ages culminated...
You are like the dust, one day you return to it..
but for now, everyone dusts you off as a memory...

My Melody Bird ...

There was this bird that sang a song,
A song so melodius, it touched a chord,

Wake up I did every morning to the sound of this bird,
So much happiness there was to hear this sound..
If I slept less , I never knew..
If I slept more, I forever dreamt,
Such was the happiness this bird's melody brought..
Each day began with so much joy..

Rocky

As the doors of loneliness crept by,
Not of companionship, Not of camaraderie,
But a loneliness that creeps in when ,
You know your needed only for a purpose..
You go with groups, trying to belong,
To forget the pain of loneliness..
but the harder you struggle, the more you realize,
You have to be not you, for you to be a part of it today...

"Best of Luck for the Boards" - it almost changed my life...

1995 was a year I was rolling. I had joined Jabriya Indian School, Kuwait a year back. Very unhappy, cheated I would say by my parents who got me to Kuwait saying its summer vacation and then enrolled me here saying these are the last few years we will be together as a family.

Seven Years of Work

Time passeth the man who moveth with wind
Not knowing when it started nor stopped….
He counts not his achievements,
He sees only what he has created,
He came with time...
Alas, The same time toketh him away,
But his passion left a legacy that untold millions benefitted….
