If u love something very very much, let it go..

if it comes back to you cherish it forever....

How many different ways has the above phrase been interpreted. I have seen them said in so many different words, languages but always meaning the same thing. I guess it has been the solution to the one uncontrollable feeling that people want to learn to let go when they never can...

When I look at the above phrase, I think of my life as a pawn on the chess board of life. Easiest to sacrifice and always the first line of attack. When one shows one's passion to the cause, you expect to lead from the front and face the brunt of it too.

How do you let go? Well its easy when you try your best and yet realize you are no longer wanted anymore and everything for others become the past and the forgotten," Wake up dude, you are in the present! Get over it!"

I was reading this book called "Yes/No" by Jonathan Spencer (He also wrote "Who Moved my Cheese" and "Present") all motivational books regarding how to cope with failure and get on in life.

The book is good and interesting just like the others. And its easy to apply to real life problems. This book had one example of a person who puts his life in ruins because he and his ex-wife divorces. He still feels his life would have been great if he had her back while she has moved on and found someone else. He thus lives in the depression until this friend steps in and advices him on looking at "options"...

Now with this book, the author concludes that its easier for him to move on and get his life back if he realizes he has options and all he needs is any woman who is caring, understanding him and loving him...;And not his ex-wife only...(Ofcourse to make this a feasible option, the author ensures that the hubby and wife always fought and never had happy times as excuses which makes the guy think positive about looking at options)

When you think of it the real life way, life is that simple for most people. Everything is about the choices we take and the options we have or create..

But then I always wonder, how can we just make our feelings just another product of our imagination? Something that people can so easily rubbish as being the result of lack of choices... or move on ? I can understand material real life changes can happen without second thoughts because we have to weather the external factors which we have no control of. But our emotions and inner feelings....

Every individual is unique and when two people click, we should understand their outlook, emotions and feelings are like their fingerprints unique because of what they have been through exactly. No other person will go through ever.. so then how can we just rubbish it as our negative thinking or our depression or lack of looking forward in life?

I am still of the old school who feels we can play with everything else and walk out of life stronger for our experiences; But our thoughts, feelings and our imaginations, though can be molded, will always be unique to us. And because of it, I remember the above phrase and always hope that that certain feelings like love, patriotism, passion never change from our hearts because of our commitments; Always to be cherished and to be held strong come what may...

You can find the perspective of another individual whom I respect a lot over here.
