For the want of an inch...

How valuable can an inch be to a person's life? We never realize it....

When I was in seventh standard, my Sanskrit Sir taught me a saying which went like this,

"Never underestimate the grass, for though it may seem harmless, when it flies into your eyes, it can cause more damage and danger than a blade of sword..."

I can never forget this saying because it always reminds me to be humble with the weakest lot of people I perceive... In a way it has stead me good too..

But an inch, how much can it matter? Well in laser surgery even a micron of accuracy is important.. so we can fathom the value of an inch where it matters most. I learnt a lesson recently and well it opens your eyes and reminds me of the old poem...

For want of a nail , the shoe was lost:
For want of the shoe , the horse was lost;
For want of the horse , the rider was lost;
For want of the rider , the battle was lost;
For want of the battle , the kingdom was lost,
And all for the want of a nail....
